These custom-cut, high-absorbency foam sponges are designed specifically for the LED pocket in the Magic Bait Ball.  Simply soak the plugs in your favorite herring oil (or other scent), insert them into the LED pocket so they protrude slightly, and secure them with a couple of toothpicks.

Once deployed, the exposed portion of the foam slowly releases scent into the water as you troll, creating a realistic scent trail that perfectly complements the visual attraction of the spinning blades.  Fish no longer just see and feel a bait ball — they smell it too, completing the illusion and triggering more aggressive strikes.

How Long They Last

Each plug typically provides 4–6 hours of effective scent release when trolling at 2.0–2.5 mph. The protected portion inside the LED pocket acts as a reservoir, allowing for a steady, controlled release rather than dumping the oil all at once.
